This Sheer Terror Style feature for Auxiliary Magazine’s Spring 2016 Issue was a little bit different than past ones I have shot. I have been shooting the Style feature for the last few issues of Auxiliary and this time around we decided to go with photos where the model is smiling. Not very common in fashion photography where things tend to be more serious but the detail upper body shots for this feature allow for some playfulness. The focus of this Style feature is sheer clothing and the overall styling had a faint 90s vibe that really paired well with smiling and laughing photos.

getting married : Engaged
I’m engaged and I’m getting married! A few weeks ago my boyfriend, co-homeowner, and Auxiliary Magazine co-editor asked me to marry him during a cozy evening in on a cold winter night. It was sweet and simple and after ten plus years together, we are very excited to really be planning the wedding we have been playfully talking about for so long.
what i wore : Rain Coat in Cherry Blossoms
For a long time I have wanted to better document my wardrobe, style, and day to day outfits. I love seeing others’ style on blogs and find what we choose to wear can add fun, flavor, and well style to our lives. I also hope this exercise will encourage me to dress up and play with my wardrobe a bit more. I find being so busy sometimes I gravitate to comfy and easy and put my creativity into styling outfits for editorials and conceptualizing fashion features for Auxiliary. That creativity doesn’t always make it to my personal outfits and style. Hopefully this will help me take my outfits up a notch more often than not!
After a date night with my boyfriend we randomly stopped at the Japanese Gardens, right before the rain. to see the cherry blossoms in bloom. I took some photos of the blossoms and this is what I wore.
