I worked with fashion stylist Shannon Kramp on this creepy fashion editorial for Auxiliary Magazine. We shot at Hamlin House in the Allentown neighborhood of Buffalo and featured fashions by Pin Up Girl Clothing, Contrived to Charm, Cats Like Us, and more. Sherry wanted to do a good girl and bad girl boudoir shoot for a couple magazines seeking to publish photos of this playful pinup. This was her bad girl look and I staged a bedroom in my studio for the set. You can find this set in Xpressions Magazine’s July 2014 Issue.
Valentine’s Day is around the corner and I can’t wait to do some more boudoir and pinup shoots!
It’s winter now, but I am dreaming of summer hiking and exploring parks. Over the summer we went to Como Park in the suburbs of Buffalo, NY. We tried to follow a rather vague trail and kept loosing the path then we wandered through the frisbee golf course to an odd little lighthouse.
I’ve been busy, so haven’t been blogging as much as I should! Will be posting the highlights of this year over the next few weeks. I shot these vintage car advertisements for clothing boutique Cats Like Us this past spring. The weather was still a bit brisk but we made it a fun day and traveled to two locations. The shots taken at the second location were extra fun as they were in conjunction with Sourpuss Clothing and wickedly playful.
Over five years ago myself and three other editors founded Auxiliary Magazine as a magazine for alternative fashion, music, and lifestyle. I had been shooting alternative fashion editorials for a while and couldn’t find the perfect outlet for them, so we created one. Since then I have had the privilege of working with countless photographers and writers and featuring countless designers, artists, and musicians. It has been a great five years!
