When I recently redesigned by website, I went through many past photoshoots to gather images in order to update my portfolios. I realized I never blogged about some of my favorite photographs from 2015! Here is a shot from a maternity session I did with Jennifer early last year. We planned a few different outfits as Jennifer didn’t want fully nude maternity photos. We picked pieces in soft natural fabrics that would add something to her photos while still allowing us to document her pregnancy.

Seapunk Siren Style for Auxiliary Magazine
This Style piece for Auxiliary Magazine’s Summer 2015 Issue was a lot of fun! I especially love how the makeup and hair came together to really tie the wardrobe together and add something to the whole look.
explore : Billy Wilson Park
On Christmas day the weather was surprisingly nice and we had a of couple hours between family gatherings to take a little nature walk. We headed over the Billy Wilson Park in Amherst, a suburb of Buffalo, and walked the boardwalk through the swamp land there. As a kid I used to go to this boardwalk all the time, it’s right by my childhood home. It was fun revisiting it.
Accessorize for Auxiliary Magazine
Shoes and handbags were the focus of this fashion editorial I shot for the February/March 2015 Issue of Auxiliary Magazine but to really show them off we considered the whole look, clothing, hair, and makeup. Fashion stylist Shannon Kramp, makeup artist Elizabeth Rhodes, and hair stylist Cassandra Lyons made an excellent team. I shot this editorial in studio to create a clean background for the bold looks from YRU, Privileged, Iron Fist, Cats Like Us, and Lip Service and pulled furniture props from OffBeat Emporium.
Samm Maleficent Halloween Portraits
Halloween is my favorite holiday and honestly I think Halloween portraits should be just as much of a thing as holiday portraits. If you spend all this time planning your costume, might as well capture it and capture it well. Who wants to worry about getting good pictures when they’re out having a spooky time? Samm spent a year working on this Maleficent costume which she wore to Buffalo’s Witches Ball. This photo is one of the detail shots we did to really show off the costume and the fabric’s beautiful texture.
