I’ve been busy, so haven’t been blogging as much as I should! Will be posting the highlights of this year over the next few weeks. I shot these vintage car advertisements for clothing boutique Cats Like Us this past spring. The weather was still a bit brisk but we made it a fun day and traveled to two locations. The shots taken at the second location were extra fun as they were in conjunction with Sourpuss Clothing and wickedly playful.

explore : Japanese Gardens of Buffalo
One weekend when visiting the Buffalo History Museum, I noticed the cherry blossoms in the Japanese Gardens of Buffalo just outside of the museum were budding. I took note to try to come back in a couples weeks to see them in bloom. One night while driving home from dinner out, at Kuni’s sushi restaurant oddly enough, we spotted that the cherry blossoms were in bloom! At dusk right before the rain I took these photos.
explore : Akron Falls
One of the first nice days of the year meant the first hike of the year. A new hiking trail app pointed me to Akron Falls in Akron, NY just a short drive from Buffalo. It was a very short hike and very easy; a little trail in Akron’s park. But any trail that leads to a waterfall is a good trail in my book.
Holiday Card for Cats Like Us
The great team behind Cats Like Us posed with their beloved cats for this holiday card that went out to their customers and vendors. They ended up printing a postcard which is a great marketing option as it means less postage and it can double as a flyer for promotion and networking. I love when companies take a personal and stylized approach to holiday cards. There is little point to sending out boring pre-made cards, they are forgotten almost instantly. But add a little creativity to your holiday card and it is a highly enjoyed and sincere thank you to clients and business associates.
Psyclon Nine for Auxiliary Magazine
I took this shot of Nero Bellum of Psyclon Nine for Auxiliary Magazine’s 7 Deadly Questions interview series. This was a challenging shoot as they were only in town for one day I met them at the venue Broadway Joe’s in Buffalo to get a couple quick shots before their show. It is a small punky dive type venue and we shot this in the back patio area. You can see this photo in the October/November 2013 Issue of Auxiliary Magazine.
