Excited to share my first maternity session of spring! Marissa was a pleasure to photograph and there was so much laughter, so many smiles, and so much joy during this shoot. We started with family portraits and mommy and daughter portraits. Then ventured down a nature trail for a bit for some woodsy shots. Lastly we finished at a little stone wall for some grander shots. Amherst State Park was a lovely location even being very early spring. Opted for pine tree filled spots to add some greenery. Marissa’s magenta dress really popped and her romantic earrings added a lot. Loving doing shoots in nature right now!

Calvin 6 Year Portrait Session
It wouldn’t be early Spring without photographing Calvin! I have been doing regular child portrait sessions with Calvin since he was born. Can’t believe it! And this time I’m so proud of him, he came ready to be photographed and on board. Of course there was a lot of goofing around. But we had fun and got lots of playful shots. We went to Stiglmeier Park for his session and went to a few spots in the park and then the playground. It was a chilly one but we made the best of it and were so busy moving around it was easy to forget the crisp weather.
I have been shooting a lot since spring hit Buffalo! So expect more blogs for sessions soon.
Sophie Newborn Lifestyle Session
I had the pleasure of photographing Sophie and her lovely family in their bright and picturesque home a couple weeks after she came home from the hospital. We did a variety of shots from newborn portraits to family photos to intimate shots in her nursery. Love getting to capture the special moments and memories of those first few weeks with a newborn lifestyle session!
Dossett Family Holiday Mini Session
I have been photographing the Dossett family for many years and have seen their son Calvin grow over the years! This year we meet at the Ivy Arch Bridge in Delaware Park for a holiday mini session. Even though I know Calvin and have photographed him since his hospital stay when he was born, it takes some time to get him to warm up to having his photograph taken. But we always have fun and we always get there! This year the family was bigger with a new puppy!
Schimenti Family Portrait Session
I have photographed the Schimenti family many times over the years, it’s fun photographing a family every year and seeing the kids grow up! I’m not just saying this because I’m a photographer (well I am a bit and probably also partly saying this as a mother) but make a point to do family photos every single year. It’s so valuable and worth the effort that might seem like a lot at the time. We had a good time doing a pretty quick session at Glen Park before the sun set on a chilly November day. Sometimes you only have so much time, between fading light, freezing people, and energized kids. Glen Park is a great location for a shorter session as there are so many different looking spots to shoot and they are all so close to each other.
