It was a cold one but we made things feel cozy and happy at Glen Park for Denise and Chris’s Engagement Session. We did their session as fast as possible because they could only stand to be outside in not so outside outfits for so long. Joking and having fun the whole time we moved from spot to spot throughout the park to get a variety of shots. We were going to be done but Denise agreed to throw on her coat and do a few close up portraits right at the end which really turned out to me some very sweet images of them.

Meagan and Cameron’s Engagement Session
Cameron proposed to Meagan on a bench overlooking Lake Erie at Buffalo’s Outer Harbor so that made it a sentimental location for their engagement session. It was a hot sunny day so we had to find the perfect spots that avoided the glaring sun. We took a nice stroll down the harbor’s walkway to the bench Cameron proposed at near the observation tower, finding little areas for photos along the way. It was a lovely afternoon and it was touching to get a glimpse into the special connection Meagan and Cameron share, to get to know them before their big day, and to capture their authentic interactions with each other.
getting married : Engagement Photos
Getting married means I’ll have to spend some time on the other side of the camera! Obviously being a photographer, good wedding photographs are pretty important to me. For our photographer we went with Sarah Wintle. I have had the pleasure of working with Sarah on Auxiliary Magazine shoots; she has modeled for me for a few different features over the years. Not only is she a wonderful model, she’s a wonderful photographer, with a true talent for journalistic, documentary style wedding photography.
A couple weeks ago we met up with her at Chestnut Ridge Park for an engagement photo session. An engagement session is a great way to get comfortable with your wedding photographer and now I feel very confident that working together in reverse roles for our wedding will be a lot of fun. Here are some of the highlights from our shoot!
