Adriana and Nathan had a very sweet lifestyle engagement session at Adriana’s family’s ice cream shop and candy store, King Condrell’s, in Kenmore. We then walked down to the Kenmore Municipal building and did some photos around the cute village of Kenmore. I love doing lifestyle engagement sessions, they allow a glimpse into your life and create photos of authentic moments. Plus they add a lot to a session, story and personality. They can be great for couples who feel a bit unsure in front of the camera because they give you something to do during your session. Though Adriana and Nathan were non-stop adorable in front of the camera. It was very special being able to photograph at Adriana’s family shop. The location and items in the shop had special meaning. A truly fun shot was recreating a movie still on the wall!

Jennifer and Ryan’s Delaware Park Spring Engagement Session
We photographed Jennifer and Ryan’s engagement session at Delaware Park on a misty spring morning. Delaware Park is beautiful in the spring and we moved their session up a bit to avoid late morning rain. Everything was vibrant and vivid. There were delicate emerging flowers everywhere. Late April was the perfect time for a spring Delaware Park session! We started at Hoyt Lake for some classic shots then walked to a hanging-in-there cherry blossom tree on the other side of the lake then over to the ivy arch bridge. The bridge was stunning with yellow flowers all around. Jennifer brought a few props, a clear umbrella, a black hat, and a jean jacket, and that added variety to the session. Was great spending the morning with them and getting to know them before their wedding next year!
Ashleigh and Jamison’s Hoyt Lake Engagement Session
Ashleigh and Jamison got engaged at Hoyt Lake in Delaware Park so it was their top pick for a location for their engagement session. It was also a given that their dogs would be included in the session! They were very excited to be included and even had bandanas and leashes that matched their owner’s outfits. Too cute! Ashleigh and Jamison were smart too, they invited a friend to their session to take the dogs after their time in the spotlight was over. After the doggie portraits we went over by the willow trees for some cozy shots while the sun began to set.
Brie and Josh’s Buffalo Botanical Gardens Engagement Session
Brie and Josh had a magical early spring engagement session at the Buffalo Botanical Gardens. The weather was still pretty cold for shooting comfortably outside and nothing was growing quite yet so a warm and cozy session at the botanical gardens was perfect. Even more romantic that their wedding will be there this fall. Brie and Josh traveled in from out of town and made a little getaway of their session with a nice hotel room and some sightseeing. They booked their wedding at the Buffalo Botanical Gardens without having ever seen it so there was true excitement in the air at their session as they explored the rooms for the first time! They booked an hour at the gardens for their session and we had the place to ourselves. We wondered through almost every room. I got to photograph my favorite spots and find some new ones! We ended the session with some cute photos showcasing their love of video games. And on the way out we grabbed some shots in front of the gardens, my fav being a show of excitement for their upcoming wedding at the location.
Andy and Daisy Proposal Session
Spent part of my Mother’s Day this year capturing this proposal! So beautiful and amazing! When Andy reached out to contact me and told me his proposal plans I just couldn’t say no to photographing it. Lulani’s Tables set the scene with a stunning picnic set up on the edge of Hoyt Lake in Buffalo’s Delaware Park. There was a gorgeous table setting, pillows and blankets to get cozy with, lots of delicious food, champagne, and even a checkers game. I just had to get a good handful of details. Then Andy and Daisy arrived and Andy popped the question right away. There were so many smiles and kisses and so much laughter and joy after that. It was so clear how happy and in love they both were. We did some portraits and then I stayed for a few to capture as they dug in. Love this set, had to share a ton!
