Brie and Josh had a magical early spring engagement session at the Buffalo Botanical Gardens. The weather was still pretty cold for shooting comfortably outside and nothing was growing quite yet so a warm and cozy session at the botanical gardens was perfect. Even more romantic that their wedding will be there this fall. Brie and Josh traveled in from out of town and made a little getaway of their session with a nice hotel room and some sightseeing. They booked their wedding at the Buffalo Botanical Gardens without having ever seen it so there was true excitement in the air at their session as they explored the rooms for the first time! They booked an hour at the gardens for their session and we had the place to ourselves. We wondered through almost every room. I got to photograph my favorite spots and find some new ones! We ended the session with some cute photos showcasing their love of video games. And on the way out we grabbed some shots in front of the gardens, my fav being a show of excitement for their upcoming wedding at the location.

Odette 3 Year Portrait Session
For my daughter’s 3 year portrait session we got a giant 3 balloon and headed to the park! She wore the rainbow crown and dress from her birthday party. It was a lot of fun!

I love the vibe of this editorial and how it all came together.
Lauren and Robert’s Wedding at The Courtyard at Hotel at The Lafayette
Lauren and Robert had planned a small wedding right from the start so luckily had to make no major changes to their wedding day. They had a beautiful and intimate day at Hotel at The Lafayette in downtown Buffalo, NY. The Courtyard Room was the cozy setting for their reception and its courtyard was the perfect romantic setting for their ceremony. The bride got ready at the hotel which allowed us to take portraits on the balcony in the front of the hotel, a wonderful setting! For bride and groom portraits, we stayed near the hotel and walked across the street to Lafayette Square. The whole day was centered around family and it was classic and just right, and most importantly full of joy.
