This fashion accessory editorial was shot for and published in the October/November 2013 Issue of Auxiliary Magazine. It was fun just focusing on shoes and accessories, the makeup and hair time was cut out, and it was just loads of shoes from T.U.K. Shoes, Hades Footwear, and Fluevog plus some awesome leggings from Carousel Ink. It was hard giving these pulls back!

Must for Auxiliary Magazine
Over the last couple years I have shot a few of the one page closer feature titled Must for Auxiliary Magazine. I have kept the same goal in mind of creating a clean and direct shot to allow the featured fashion item to be the focus and in doing this they have become a nice little series. You can see this photo and how it pairs with the others in my “fashion 2” portfolio at jennifer-link.com. I also styled this look that features a faux fur coat by Bettie Page Clothing. For the styling I drew from Fall 2012 runway trends. I specifically looked at Gucci’s Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear runway show in Milan for fashion forward details to place around the coat: brocade trousers, round sunglasses, and dark lipstick. I love the dialogue between high fashion designers and subculture fashion that has been happening for years and years, one influencing the another, round and around and back again.
Spooky Spring for Rebelicious Magazine
Toronto model Cassia Sparkle shows off creepy but colorful prints that don’t have to be limited to Halloween-time in the fashion editorial I shot for Rebelicious Magazine. With pieces from Cats Like Us and a few other sources, I put together three looks for Cassia to bring to life. Look for this editorial in Issue 12 of UK based Rebelicious Magazine!
Rose Mortem Designer Spotlight for Auxiliary Magazine
A tree grove, two wonderful models, a great hair and makeup team, a great assistant, the perfect jewelry from Adelina Mictlan, and beautiful gowns from Rose Mortem all came together for the Auxiliary Magazine February/March 2013 Issue Designer Spotlight on Rose Mortem. I wore a couple hats on set that day working as fashion stylist and creative director in addition to shooting. The trick is lots of planning ahead of the shoot so it all goes smoothly day of. I always love it when I get to style shoots, especially when there are pieces as stunning as these involved! You can see more of this fashion feature at auxiliarymagazine.com.
