We chose a classic location for Cole’s Senior Portrait Session, Knox Farm State Park. So many good places to take photos at this park! We got a good mix of smiling, laughing, serious, and even some a bit more dare I say “lifestyle/model/fashion”. We had a lot of fun and took full advantage of all the good photo spots. Cole’s main interest currently is his Ninja Warrior training so we even did a few photos showing those skills.
Ashleigh and Jamison’s Hoyt Lake Engagement Session
Ashleigh and Jamison got engaged at Hoyt Lake in Delaware Park so it was their top pick for a location for their engagement session. It was also a given that their dogs would be included in the session! They were very excited to be included and even had bandanas and leashes that matched their owner’s outfits. Too cute! Ashleigh and Jamison were smart too, they invited a friend to their session to take the dogs after their time in the spotlight was over. After the doggie portraits we went over by the willow trees for some cozy shots while the sun began to set.
Amanda and Brian’s Lord of the Rings inspired Wedding at Tewksbury Lodge
Amanda and Brian’s big day finally came in 2021 with a fall wedding reception at Tewksbury Lodge on the Buffalo River. Unfortunately they had to postpone a few times from their original date in 2020 but when the day for their big celebration finally came, it sure did feel exciting! They had a Lord of the Rings inspired wedding with beautiful details throughout. We did portraits outside at their church, downtown in the Cobblestone District, and at Resurgence Brewery. It was a fun filled day full of laughs and happiness!
Calvin 7 Year Portrait Session
Every year since Calvin was born I have photographed him for a portrait session around his birthday. This year marks 7 years! I highly recommend doing a yearly portrait session for each child as they grow up so quickly. School photos won’t capture them the same way a portrait session will. A yearly family session or sibling session is a great option too but a one-on-one portrait session really gets the most photos and unique moments. It is a fun experience too!
This year we went to the Burchfield Nature & Art Center. I love this location! So many fun spots to shoot. Funny enough we used the wall of the restroom building to have a neutral backdrop for up close portraits. And I don’t normally like shooting in the gazebo, gazebo photos sound like a good idea but it’s often a problematic place to photograph, but I love how sitting in the middle of the patterned floorboards turned out!
Deserted fashion editorial for Auxiliary Magazine
Had a lot of fun photographing this fashion editorial for Auxiliary Magazine’s Spring 2021 Issue! Did the shoot in the Cobblestone District one of my favorite downtown Buffalo locations.
